Admission is free, but they’d appreciate donations of children’s toothbrushes or liquid or chewable vitamins, and you should cough up some dough for raffle tickets. They raise money for medical care in Guatemala.

- Yoga for Everyone. 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm. Inman Center, (Back of Building 2nd Level) 53 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Pre-registration is required. The Center for Complementary Therapies offers Yoga for Everyone. A gentle approach for creating balance and harmony in the body, mind and spirit. The fundamental principles of alignments, breath work and relaxation will be learned. Students will be introduced to the postures in a progressive sequence with the emphasis on increasing flexibility, lengthening the spine, increasing body awareness and reducing tension in the body. Beginners and the more experienced are invited to attend. Yoga for Everyone will be offered in a series of eight consecutive classes beginning on Monday, April 4, 2011. - St. Mary’s Hospital’s Center for Complementary Therapies will be offering Tai’ Chi Chih®, Joy through Movement. Program consists of 19 gentle movements and one pose than can be done by anyone and for people of any age. Increased energy, serenity and health are some benefits.
