- April 14–27: Canstruction at the Albany Museum. 9:30 am–5:00 pm. FREE. 4th Floor. Everything is made from cans and at the end the cans are donated to local food pantries. Look pretty cool!
- Splash Week. Free Swim Lessons for Non-Members offered to non-swimmers and beginners. 6 months to 14 years old. Johnstown YMCA. Contact : Barb Palmateer 848-3447. watch the website for registration details. Appointments must be made.

St. Mary's Carondelet Family Health Center, 380 Guy Park Ave. In an attempt to promote healthy families during April, the event features various family and child oriented clubs, businesses and organizations that provide attending families with community linked information and resources, provide hands on demonstrations, and child friendly give a ways. We will also showcase the artistic and entertainment talent of children, ages 5-17, from both the Montgomery and Fulton Counties.

It’s National Day of Silence to call attention to anti-LGBT bullying, and at the end of the day, gay youth can break the silence at The Egg from 4-8 and/or take a shuttle to dance off that silence at the First Unitarian Society of Albany, both sponsored by GLSEN.


16 Saturday

10 am, the Annual City of Cohoes Easter Egg Hunt will be held at George Street Park. The Easter Bunny will be there for photo ops.
10 am to noon The Crossings has an Easter Egg Hunt with Mr. & Mrs. Bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt starts promptly at 10 am, and folks who’ve gone say the eggs disappear quickly. Crafts and snacks, too.
10 am to noon Take a Hike to High Point at Thacher Park. Call to register.
10:00 am - 12:30 pm YMCA Healthy Kids Day. Activities are free and open to all. Both Amsterdam and Johnstown Y are participating.

10 am until 7 pm, its the Kidsfun Summer Expo at Colonie Center. Lots of representatives of summer camps will be there.
11 am Fancy Nancy Tea Party at the Mohawk Commons Barnes & Noble. With snacks. Dress fancy!
11:00am Introduce children ages 3 to 5 to the science of the four seasons with Caps, Hats, Socks and Mittens and a fun craft. When these items are improperly disposed in local landfills, it can lead to toxins spreading into our water and land causing various health risks. Stop by Baptist Health to drop off our used, unwanted, broken electronics. We will recycle them for you in return for a small donation.
