5-6:30 pm, there’s a pre-basketball (see 7 pm) Chinese Street Festival in front of the Times Union Center. Food, culture, crafts, and more.
5-9 pm Troy Night Out
5:15 pm, it’s Kids Night at Albany-Saratoga Raceway. Stock car rides, fireworks, and kids can bike on the raceway. Admission $10/adult, $3/kids 5-12.
5:30 to 7 pm Open Gym at Stepping Star Gymnastics: Saratoga Springs, for ages 5 & up (April to November)
6-8pm Twilight Kayak at Moreau Lake. Kayaks are available for rent in limited supply. Call to reserve.
7 pm Emack & Bolio’s in Albany has live music
7 pm, there’s an exhibition WNBA basketball game at the Times Union Center. It’s the New York Liberty vs. the Chinese National Women’s Team. Tickets are $5 for kids 2-12 and range from $12.50 to $29.50 for adults.

Sunday
10 am-2 pm Schenectady Greenmarket
10 am to 3:30 pm, it’s Sunday at the Farm at Schauber Stables in Ballston Lake. Many activities–like touring the farm, feeding horses and a petting zoo–will be free, while others won’t, like riding a pony ($5) or making a special craft ($3-5).
1pm Opening Ceremony. 2pm City of Rensselaer has its Memorial Day Parade.

Monday
9-9:30am USS Slater Memorial Day Observance.
9:30am Downtown Albany Memorial Day Parade
10am Memorial Day Observed at Upper Veterans Field, Amsterdam
10am-4pm Fort Klock Opening Day. Featured will be an ecampment of the Tryon County Militia and colonial crafts demonstrations. The Tryon County Militia realistically portrays colonial camp life through nistorical re-enactment of marching drills and musketry. Artisans will demonstrate crafts fromt he Mohawk Valley customary over 200 years ago. The Barn Frame Loom will be dressed for the season by members and weaver friends. This is a hands on demonstration and visitors are invited to participate. Route 5; 2 Mi. E. of St. Johnsville
10am -7pm. Decoration Day in Schuylerville at the Old Stone Fort.
10:30am Amsterdam Free Library Story Hour
11am-1pm Village of Hagaman Memorial Day Parade and Veteran's Ceremony. Village parade honoring Veteran's from the Revolution to today! Veteran's groups, military vehicles, War Bird flyover, local talent groups, etc. Refreshments after the ceremony at the Village of Hagaman Fire Department. Parade route is from St. Stephen's Church south on Pawling to Northern Blvd., North on Church St. to Main St.
12-1pm Town of Glen Memorial Day Parade. LJ Hand Farm Center on State Highway 161 and will proceed at 12 noon to the park in the hamlet, located on the corner of State Highway 30A and Logtown Road. All are welcome to participate. (Pedestrian participants should gather at the Church parking lot; motorized vehicles should gather at the Farm Center) For questions contact Carolyn Hart at 922-6435.
12-3 Sand Sculpture Contest at Grafton Beach.
12:30 Boarding.. 1-3pm Dutch Apple Cruises is giving a Memorial Day site seeing cruise from Albany to Castleton and back.-- $18.

6:30 pm Storytime at Guilderland Library, for babies, toddlers, & preschoolers
10 am Rotterdam Public Library has a 30-minute drop-in storytime for independent 3-, 4-, & 5-year-olds
